Implementing Technological Communication for Online ClassGroup Work

As more colleges and universities begin to offer traditional engineering courses online, there will be a need toconduct remote group work effectively. Online collaborative methods were implemented into two online classesrequiring group case studies. Every group used each method at least once, after which, students completed a surveyasking them about their thoughts on the importance, effectiveness, and efficiency of the various communicationmethods. Overall, the students felt the implementation of the technological communication was beneficial, but alsooffered suggestions for improvement.
