This research proposes a framework that uses numerous lean concepts, such as Failure Mode Effects and Analysis,Fault Tree Diagrams and Poka-yoke for defining the test process in a high-end server assembly and testenvironment. The test process is designed based on a set of instructions that the server executes sequentially over24-48 hours. During new product introduction (NPI), this process is challenging due to the lack of an understandingof failure modes and historical data. The framework will also use modeling and simulation to perform “what-if”analysis and study the capacity and energy expended when the product is in production.
