Design Tool for Unit Load AS/RS Systems

摘要

The ExASRS v2.0 design tool is an Excel-based software tool that determines the design, in terms of rackdimensions and minimum number of aisles, of a unit load AS/RS to meet user specifications including desiredthroughput and maximum storage capacity. Additionally, the following operational characteristics of the AS/RS arereported: average throughput, average time per request for several different multiple shuttle storage/retrievalpolicies, and various cycle time values for single and multiple shuttle AS/RS. The ExASRS v2.0 design toolincludes sensitivity analysis capability which can be used to perform what-if analysis as will be demonstrated usinga case study.
