Global Perspectives on the Use of Naturalistic Driving Data to Improve Highway Safety

Naturalistic driving studies provide a relatively new, powerful tool for understanding driver behavior. This collection of vehicle and driver data provides an opportunity to garner a greater understanding of driver behavior and safety issues than ever before possible. The purpose of this panel is to discuss how various car manufactures around the world are using or plan to use naturalistic driving data to improve transportation safety. Top researchers in the area of safety and human factors form this panel.
