This paper discusses PCI Express and the benefits of incorporating it into the PXI backplane. It examines the compatibility of PXI and PXI Express, the enhanced features of PXI Express such as timing and synchronization, as well as new application areas like high-speed data streaming that PXI Express enables. It also covers what's next for PXI Express.
