A diazotization reaction of 3,6-diamino-1,2,4,5-terazine followed by Sandmeyer reaction of formed diazonium salt with the NO_2 anion resulted in unknown before 3-amino-6-nitro-1,2,4,5-tetrazine, which was oxidized into 3-amino-6-nitro-1,2,4,5-tetrazine 2,4-dioxide under the action of PTFA.
