Metal-diamond-metal structures were realized and tested under continuous X-ray irradiation. Photocurrent versus applied voltage curves were used to evaluate the mobility-lifetime product of collected charges at different beam intensities. μτ values in the order of 6×10~(-6) cm~2/V were estimated. As the X-ray source is not monochromatic, Bremsstrahlung contribution was removed and the detector response to Kα copper radiation was evaluated.
