The device has a multiline x-ray detector (24) lying opposite to an x-ray beam producing device (21) rotating around a pivot axis arranged between the x-ray beam producing device and the x-ray detector in an xy-plane, to detect projection data of the object being investigated. A collimator (23) is provided for regulating the opening width of the x-ray beam irradiated by the multiline x-ray detector in a direction perpendicular to the xy-plane and a scanning-table (10) for shifting the object being investigated in the z-axis direction.
