HUMAN RELIABILITY - WGRISK FINDINGS AND OUTLOOK FOR DATA COLLECTION AND EXCHANGE

In Probabilistic Safety Assessment (PSA), the lack of data on human performance in complex, technical domains such as nuclear power plants has led to an extensive reliance on expert judgement and contributed to the uncertainties in the results of PSAs. As part of its mission to support improved uses of PSA in risk-informed regulation and safety management, the Nuclear Energy Agency's Committee for the Safety of Nuclear Installations (CSNI)'s Working Group on Risk Assessment (WGRISK) reviewed HRA data needs and relevant developments in the field, aiming to define what could be done to address the issue of HRA data. This paper summarizes the findings of this work and outlines potential follow-on activities to support the collection and exchange of HRA data.
