摘要

This paper emphasizes the effects of wetted surface area and Blown Film Encapsulation. Wetted surface area plays an important role which effects final output and versatility. Thermally sensitive barrier polymers have now been successfully processed by encapsulating with less sensitive polymers into specialized large blown film dies utilizing special spiral channel design. This new technology also allows encapsulating Nylon and EVOH in order to reduce the purge time by at least 5 to 10 times compared to the existing co-extrusion dies.
