Study of formation of conical protrusions on steel surface by sputter-etching

摘要

It was really a surprised discovery that many conical protrusions can appear on the SUS304 stainless steel surface sputter-etched by Ar + in a R.F.magnetron sputter apparatus,and can also be produced on many solution-treated steels in the furthermore research,such as SUS304,SCM435 and SKDS.According to the results,the schematic process of formation and growth of conical protrusions was proposed,and many fields that can be applied were discussed.
