Functions of Mn has been researched on resistance of rare earth (RE)weathering steel to atmospheric corrosion in laboratory,according to corrosion weight loss and electrochemical analysis.Experiment results show that annual corrosion rate of RE weathering steel increased,with the increase of Mn in the steel,meanwhile,natural corrosion current density became larger,natural corrosion potential become lower,and charge transfer resistance in high frequency become lower else.That is to say,for RE weathering steel,Mn is bad for improving the resistance to atmospheric corrosion.
