The effect of annealing and solid solution heat treatment on microstructure and mechanical properties of hot rolled Fe-22Mn-0.6C TWIP steel was investigated in this study.It was found that the yield strength decreased greatly after such heat treatment.Ductility increased after annealing whereas decreased after solid solution.SEM-EBSD and OM results showed that the grain size varied greatly after different heat treatment,and the variation in yield stress and ductility mainly resulted from the effect of grain size.But the hardening behaviors of this steel with very different grain sizes after different heat treatments are similar.
