This contribution presents the ground calibration campaign of the HIFI Flight Model instrument conducted at the SRON-Groningen premises. This campaign has been conducted over more than a year and a half, with a core period of 9 months where the complete flight model was available in the laboratory. The calibration of the instrument has been organized according to four main topics: ⅰ) spectral calibration, ⅱ) beam characterisation, ⅲ) photometry calibration, ⅳ) stability. We present here the strategy used in each of these activities and give the first outcomes of the campaigns, especially in the perspective of the future calibration of the astronomical data, and how these results will be propagated onto the flight early and routine activities.
