A new hydraulic test facility has been designed and tested specifically to replicate heavyweight test inputs for large scale Naval enclosures. The system is capable of testing isolated loads in excess of 2000 lbs with user-definable shock transient inputs. The preliminary testing of this system has been conducted with a large scale isolated system. The shock outputs (equipment inputs) observed very closely matched the desired user defined curves. This paper will discuss the overall system capabilities, expectations and results, as well as recommendations for the effective use of the machine to further advance shock and vibration isolation design and integration for Naval enclosures.
