Analysis on Vertical Merger with Game Theory

Incentive theories of vertical merger are expatiated. Based on transaction cost theory, a two staged game model about vertical merger is made. Game equilibriums of before and after vertical merger are analyzed. Comparison of the two equilibrium leads to a conclusion that vertical merger would heighten interest under certain condition.
