Research on the Evolution of Enterprise Developing Strategies Based on Ecological Niche Theory

The application of ecological thoughts in economic fields is one of the focuses for researches in recent years. From the literature review, we know that two problems are usually ignored: the first is the ignorance of multi-dimension of enterprise niche. Usually only on dimension is considered. Most of people think that ecological competition occurs when one dimension of the niche overlaps, which will lead to wrong conclusions. The second is that most of the literatures talk about the enterprise niche from the static point of view, and are lack in the description and analysis of every stage in the ecological lifecycle. This paper puts forward a model of multi-dimension niche. It believes that even the enterprises overlap at one or several dimensions, there is no such competition unless the main dimension overlaps. Then it takes the model of two-dimension niche for example to explore the evolutionary process of the enterprise niche. It divides the ecological lifecycle into four stages and explains their characteristics. Finally it discusses the most suitable developmental strategy of each stage base on Logistic Model.
