Analysis and Research of the Internet Real-Name Authentication System based on the Public Key Infrastructure

For the sake of the virtuality and anonymity of the network, cyber crimes have widely generated and spread online. The purpose of the Real-Name System is to improve the network environment, control online behaviors, inhibit cybercrime, and make the cyberizen take the responsibility for their behaviors in the virtual world. The key to carry out the Real-Name System of the network lies in authenticating the cyberizen’s name, which is to identify people in the virtual environment of the network. The Internet Real-Name Authentication System based on Public Key Infrastructure identifies users by using a digital certificate to represent the users’identity and checking the special relationship between the public key and the private key. Therefore, the process of real name Authentication is simple and effective enough to make “authenticate once, use everywhere”possible.
