Innovations in Post-Treatment Foam Stabilizers with Improved Environmental Characteristics

Chemtura believes that it is the leading, global additive supplier and offers one of the broadest ranges of additives for the polyol and polyurethane industries. This presentation will outline the latest, innovative and environmentally advanced, post-treatment foam additives developed by Chemtura. We believe that the standard polyol stabilization package used in polyether foams does not offer optimal protection at the converter, subsequently, additional scorch resistance is required. NAUGARD? PS 3015 stabilizer overcomes this problem; it provides excellent anti-scorch performance and offers additional benefits including the reduction of both volatile organic compounds (VOC) and fogging. Ongoing exposure to light means that many polymer applications, both outdoor and indoor, require the incorporation of light stabilizers. The new, liquid LOWILITE? UV B1260 stabilizer, a blend of thermal and light stabilizers, was developed specifically for this market. It offers excellent protection to polyurethanes in a wide variety of applications such as automotive door trims, instrument panels, steering wheels, head and arm rests, window sealants, bra cups, shoe soles and the brand logo elements of shoe and sportswear products.
