Applying simulation in determining unknown properties of a polyol minimizes the number of experiments needed for polyol characterization. Hence, simulation can increases the accuracy of the results and also makes the characterization process less time and resource intensive. In this poster, a software code is written to determine the hydroxyl number, average functionality and fraction primary, secondary and hindered-secondary hydroxyl groups of an unknown polyol. Experimental data including viscosity and temperature profiles are used to validate the simulation results.
