The ability of organizations to be successful in the current business environment depends on their ability to enternew markets, and subsequently become an established and successful player. This paper identifies and discusses thekey elements in the technology transfer process in electronics manufacturing within a global context. Throughdetailed analysis of a real-life case study, this paper highlights challenges and concerns that need to be addressedand overcome. This case-study will address the entire technology management and technology transfer process,from initial planning to implementation. Observations from this effort are summarized, and the 'lessons learned' arepresented.
