According to the target of "General Work Plan for Energy Conservation and Pollutant Discharge Reduction" issued by China State Council, urban sewage treatment rate will reach 70% by the end of 2010FY. As a result, lots of sewage sludge need to dispose properly.In China, there are lots of different disposal methods for sewage sludge, such as for land use, landfill, incineration, construction materials, etc, in which sludge dewatering is the core unit of above technologies. However, in a very long period, because of the straggling of dewatering technology and facilities, sewage sludge dewatering efficiency is very lower and operation costs are very higher and those situations seriously affect the following disposal.In order to turn the tables, Guangzhou LUYOU Industrial Waste Reclamation Treatment Co.,Ltd. has developed a new high-efficiency sewage sludge filter press based on technology introduction and innovation. Under normal operation conditions, output moisture of sludge cake will be around 60% while traditional moisture of that is around 80%. This will create ideal potential for following disposal. Continuous industrial-scale operation experiences results show that this technology and facility have lots of advantages, such as lower additive consumption, high dewatering efficiency and lower operation costs and have great application markets in the coming future.
