Agile Rapid Global Combat Support (ARGCS) is an Advanced Concept Technology Demonstration (ACTD). ACTDs are a modified acquisition process that permits early warfighter demonstration and evaluation of mature technologies to meet the needs of and provide enhanced capability for joint military operations and missions. The key objectives of an ACTD are to:1. Gain understanding of and evaluate military utility before committing to acquisition2. Confirm the concept is appropriate for joint military use or not3. Provide experience for an informed acquisition decision4. Develop real concept of operations5. Leave a "Go to War" residual where appropriate6. Aim for early transition to acquisition or sustainment7. Accelerate the acquisition process.
