Chitosan/enoxaparin polyelectrolyte complexes (PECs) were prepared and effects of system pH, stoichiometric ratio, chitosan molecular weight and concentration on the properties of the complexes were investigated. Stable nanocomplexes with particle size in the range of 200-500 nm and drug encapsulation efficiency of approximately 95% could be formed in pH 3.0-6.5.
