Poly-L-lysine dendrimers with a cubic octa(3-aminopropyl) silsesquioxane (OAS) core were synthesized as novel, nanosized globular dendrimers with precisely defined molecular architectures for nucleic acid delivery. In vitro nucleic acid delivery studies showed that these dendrimers are effective at both plasmid DNA and siRNA delivery.
