In vitro evaluation of topical iontophoretic delivery of Doxorubicin

摘要

The aim of this work was to study iontophoretic permeation of Doxorubicin in semi-solid formulations and test its cytotoxicity activity on melanoma cell lines. Iontophoresis of DOX increased significantly the permeation of the drug. The cytotoxicity assay indicates that the components of the formulations probably contribute to kill melanoma cells.
