HPMA copolymer-RGDfK conjugates have potential for targeted delivery of therapeutic and diagnostic agents to solid tumors. Multiple attachments of RGDfK ligands to HPMA copolymers enhance the adhesion of these conjugates to endothelial cells2. However, no information exists on the optimized number of RGDfK targeting moieties attached to the backbone in order to elicit multivalent interaction. Here we report the synthesis and characterization of a series of HPMA copolymers with varying contents of RGDfK and their adhesion to Human Umbilical Vein Endothelial Cells (HUVEC).
