摘要

The aim of this study was to synthesize 6-amino-6-deoxy chitosan using a new method and further trimethylation of the two amino groups in C-2 and C-6 position. The obtained polymer was compared to chitosan and has suitable properties: it is soluble at pH above 6.0, has a higher zeta potential than chitosan and has a higher antibacterial activity than chitosan.
