In Vitro Evaluation of Sulphacetamide Sodium Microspheres for Ocular Drug Delivery

摘要

The aim of this study was to evaluate sulphacetamide sodium (SA-Na) microspheres as ocular delivery system. SA-Na loaded microspheres were prepared with polymers as polycarbophil, pectin and hydroxypropylmethyl cellulose (HPMC) using spray drying method. The surface morphology of microspheres, drug-polymer interaction, particle size, encapsulation efficiency, mucoadhesiveness were investigated and in vitro drug release studies was run.
