The usage of orthesis on patients with limitation of mobility is a standardprocedure. The problem rises due to the re-mold process and its final cost. A newcomposite can solve this problem. Stiffness and strength were appraised by threepoint bending test. During the Jebsen-Taylor clinical tests, the orthesis? strains andmuscles activations were evaluated. The new composite costs 66% less thanconventional thermoplastics and it has stiffness and strength compared toEzeform?, one of the most used thermoplastic materials for orthesismanufacturing.
