摘要

Natural analogues have been studied to reveal possible geochemical reactions resulting from CO2 storage in German Rotliegend and Bunter Sandstone natural gas reservoirs. The studied natural analogues indicate that the chemical interaction of CO2-rich water with reservoir and cap rocks leads to the dissolution of calcite and chlorite and to the precipitation of dolomite, quartz and muscovite-illite. The results indicate a need for numerical simulation of highly mineralized water-rock reactons to be carried out to study the effects of temperature, pressure and composition on the dissolution and precipitation of carbonate and silicate minerals.
