The geoheritage management information System (GMIS) is not only a management information system, but also a geography information system. It plays an important role in managing, protecting and estimating geological relic or geological park. It combines feature databases with spatial databases such as basic geography, geology, ecological environment, tourist resources, and management project, etc. of the geological relic or geological park. Though the system, we can know well current situations of the geological relic protection and geological park construction, etc. and can well manage the information of the protection and construction of the geological relic or geological park also. Besides, it also offers the support of the data to set down natural protected zoon and other programming. GMIS being also an important component of national land and resources information will play a positive role in declaring world, country, province or city geological park, propagating the geological relic to protect in its foundation, exploiting tour market and educating. The Geological Relic Management Information System (GRMIS) should follow the principle of design of the point source information system, take the subject type relational database system (RDBS) and the spatial database system (PDBS) as the foundation, take the spatial information and the attribute information management as the core, realizes the database and the GIS effective integration; And uses C/S and B/S unifies the way, causes the system at the local area network (LAN) and widely area network (WAN) all can the safe operation, meets the user need.
