SEVEN OAKS DAM OUTLET WORKS INVERT DAMAGE

Seven Oaks Dam (SOD) is a single purpose flood control facility constructed by the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers, Los Angeles District; with the Orange, San Bernardino, and Riverside County Flood Control Districts acting as Local Sponsors. The project is located on the Santa Ana River in the Upper Santa Ana Canyon, about 8 miles (13 km) northeast of the City of Redlands, in San Bernardino County, California, about 75 miles (120.7 km) east of the Los Angeles International Airport (Figure 1). Authorization for the project construction is contained in the Water Resources Development Act of 1986, 99th Congress, 2nd session, P.L.99-662. Construction was completed on November 15, 1999.
