The entrained-flow coal-water slurry (CWS) gasification is simulated by the software Aspen Plus. According to the comparison of the simulation results with different unit modules and physical property models, the unit module of RGIBBS and the PR-BM physical property model are used in the simulation of the CWS gasifier, the ENRTL model and the Henry’s law are adopted in the simulation of the elementary purification of the crude syngas, and the STEAMNBS model is employed in the simulation of the slag-water treatment procedure. The results of the simulation were well agreed with the operation data of the actual entrained-flow CWS gasification plant. Meanwhile, the establishment of the simulation method of the CWS gasification system is helpful for the design and optimization of the coal gasification system.
