The travel time information based on speed data measuring with traffic counters installed in road is mainly provided on expressway in Japan. However the calculated travel time was sometimes significantly different from the actual one in unusual traffic conditions such as a lane regulation or an accident. In order to provide the exact travel time to drivers, we calculated the travel time using Bluetooth data at repairing work zone on Chuo Expressway. In this report, we will introduce how to calculate a travel time using Bluetooth data and how to select the best place for Bluetooth receiver. In addition, we will report the operation subjects and the accuracy of travel time from operational results.
