摘要

Good road infrastructure is generally an important prerequisite not only for creating an effective multimodal transportation system, but also in terms of the overall economic development. Good transport links to the economic centres is one of the conditions for business development and workforce mobility. In the Czech Republic a comprehensive backbone network of motorways and high-speed roads has still not been completed. A basic road link is missing in the direction of Prague - Ceske Budejovice (and Linz in Austria), which could significantly improve the time availability between these economic centres. Similar benefits could be achieved by completing the alternative road (R35) to the D1 highway providing direct connection between Prague and Ostrava.
