Twenty-six week duration of immunity for ingelvac(R) mycoflexTM

Respiratory disease (enzootic pneumonia) due to infection with Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae (M. hyo) is a significant economic problem for swine producers worldwide. Vaccination against enzootic pneumonia is one of the most common animal health interventions in modem pig production. Boehringer Ingelheim Vetmedica Inc. has developed a new M. hyo vaccine formulation (Ingelvac? MycoFLEX?). This study was conducted to establish a 26 week duration of immunity for the new vaccine by demonstrating the efficacy and safety of the product against heterologous challenge with M. hyo at twenty-six weeks post vaccination.
