摘要

Silica supported and unsupported metallocene catalyst based on bis(terbutyl Cyclopentadienyl) ZrCl2complex were used to polymerize ethylene. The Synthesized polyethylene was characterized using DSC, IR, andNMR tests. Results of NMR and DCS, and molecular weight determination show that the polymerization withsupported catalyst leads to high molecular weight polyethylene with a more structured molecule compared with thoseobtained using unsupported metallocene catalyst. Also, comparison of activities of this catalyst with thosemetallocene catalysts reported in literature indicates that this catalyst becomes less active when it is immobilized.
