In today's world, energy projects are becoming more complex and the methods to achieving energy goals more complicated. This paper will document and discuss how a typical school district in Pennsylvania improved its energy efficiency by using off-the-shelf technology, reduced its fuel costs using various fuel switching methods, and implemented comprehensive renewable energy projects. By implementing a "three legged stool" approach a very stable energy program has been created with excellent results.
