The increasing power components densities and the related continuous cost reduction pressure are demanding more and more accurate thermal design respect to previous years.For such reason, knowledge of the mutual interaction of thermal and electrical system performance is the turn key to make a competitive design. The scope of this article is to present an Analog PSpice model. The article describes a PSpice Power MOSFET Sub-circuit with thermal model which contains a dynamic link between electrical and thermal component description. The models offer defined nodes which provide a link to the thermal environment.
