This paper describes the breakdown characteristics measurements of uniform and non-uniform field gap in SF_6/N_2, CF_3I/N_2 gas mixtures by using steep-front square pulse voltage whose rise time and duration time are respectively 16ns and tens μs. This paper also describes the breakdown voltage and corona inception voltage of non-uniform filed gap in SF_6/N_2, CF_3I/N_2 and CF_3I/CO_2 gas mixtures by using 50 Hz AC voltage.
