In this paper consider a number of identical machines in parallel where jobs with different product types arrive dynamically for processing, and provides the probabilistic models to estimate the number of setups and the setup time with sequence-independent and sequence-dependent. A simulation model is built to evaluate the accuracy of the probabilistic model for various levels of rescheduling periods and job arriving rates. The applications of the probabilistic models are also provided.
