Various ITS services are considered to be established based on DSRC and many industries and institutes take an active interest, so a lot of researches are being done about this field of study. The concept of BIS (Bus Information System) based on DSRC is introduced in some researches and the establishment of this system will provide an efficient and convenience transportation services to the public. BIS can provide valuable information to both pedestrians and drivers so through this system traffic congestion can be mitigated. But there are some problems in using of DSRC in BIS services. Because of frequency reuse, we must need some distance about 60m between 2 RSU (Road Side Unit) and whenever vehicles send their information to RSU, it transmits traffic data to local computer and control center every time so there is room for wasting some amount of data. In addition, quantity and quality of traffic information is limited in regions where DSRC network are confirmed. Also there is no reference about taxi which the other important public transportation The establishment of ubiquitous computing system in DSRC system will provide some solutions about these problems and provide valuable traffic information for not only pedestrians and drivers but also public transportation companies. Through this system the quality of transportation services can be improved greatly.
