Effect of financing problems on core competence cultivation in Chinese SMB

Chinese small and medium-sized business (SMB) has become an important stanchion of country economy in China. As far as small and medium-sized business concerned, core competence is a key factor of gaining sustaining competitive advantages and developing steadily for long time. However, financing problems are considered as main restrict factors for small and medium-sized business to further development all the time, and these problems engender crucial effect on core competence cultivation. The effect of financing problems on core competence cultivation is embodied by financing problems impacting on human capital investment and technology innovation. Human capital and technology innovation are considered as bases and key factors of core competence cultivation. Financing problems lead insufficiency in capital, which impacts human capital investment and the investment in R&D of technology innovation directly in small and medium-sized business. The effect of financing problems on core competence cultivation is a complex process, in which kinds of relationships will be testified systematically in this thesis so as to provide a clear map for core competence cultivation in small and medium-sized business.
