Compatible blends of poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) and poly(vinyl acetate) (PVAc) have been used to produce aseries of electrically conducting carbon black composites whose resistance is sensitive to the nature and concentration of ananalyte in the vapor phase. In this work, we fabricated the carbon nanotube / PMMA /PVAc composite film, and investigatedits microstructure. Microstructure of the carbon nanotubes / PMMA / PVAc composite film was investigated using SEM andTEM techniques. The interaction between PMMA, PVAc and carbon nanotubes had been investigated. The carbon nanotube /PMMA /PVAc composite film is promising to be used as a gas detector.
