Snow Goose CQ-10A Operational Testing and Deployment

The CQ-10A is an autonomously guided powered parafoil UAV that was designed for theUS Special Operations Command for Psychological Operations leafleting and resupplyapplications. The CQ-10A can be air dropped from a C-130 or ground launched from aHMMWV, carries greater than 525 pounds of fuel and payload, and employs a ram air parachute,an aero-engine, a leaflet or payload dispenser, and a commercially developed airborne guidanceunit. This paper discusses the results of a successful combined developmental and operationaltest program and the status of the CQ-10A acquisition process.
