An inter-organizational information system (IOS) has the potential to alter the basis ofcompetition and provides new opportunity to allow trading partners to get expanded benefits.During IOS design and implementation process, power imbalance is an unavoidablephenomenon. This study focuses on the following questions: 1) how does IT capability influencethe power in IOS network and the value appropriation? 2) how does the power in IOS contextinfluence the value appropriation?
