In this study zinc/Carbopol971P complexes weredeveloped for delivery to the oral cavity. The stability,zinc displacement and bioadhesive properties of thecomplexes were investigated. Results suggest thatthe complex retains the bioadhesive characteristics ofCarbopol 971P and may represent an environmentallyresponsive oral delivery system beneficial in oralhealthcare.
