Thermosensitive Liposomal Cisplatin: Formulation Development,in vitro Characterization and in vivoPlasma Elimination Studies

A novel thermosensitive liposomal cisplatinformulation which relies on drug equilibration acrossthe membrane has been characterized. Theformulation releases <5% of its contents whenincubated at 37oC but >95% of its contents followingmild heating at 42oC. This formulation exhibits goodstability in mice provided that body temperature iscarefully regulated.
