Aldoxanes as Fragrance Releasing Agents for Fabric Softeners

摘要

The use of 2-alkyl-1,3-dioxan-4-ols (aldoxanes) inliquid fabric softeners for the controlled-release offragrance aldehydes from washed fabric wasstudied. Dynamic headspace analysis and sensorypanel tests showed that aldoxanes released morealdehyde from machine-dried, cotton fabriccompared to fabric treated with the correspondingaldehydes.
